Tendium is looking for a full-time Backend developer to join our team on a quest to bring state-of-the-art tech to the process of public procurement. The Job

As a software engineer at Tendium you will be working in an agile environment with self-sufficient teams. Your team will have full ownership of the products/features you develop and we work with continuous delivery. The work is organised around sprints and we aim for high levels of collaboration within teams. All teams are self-sufficient and contain a breadth of skills including backend, frontend, infrastructure and dev-ops. You can specialise in an area or build a broad base with a varied skillset. We do expect everyone to work together as a team to solve the task at hand, but we strongly promote building deep knowledge and expertise in areas of interest.

As a team, we always strive to use state-of-the-art technology and stay at the forefront of development. Working agile means that we build minimum viable products, but we always aim for high-quality code. Moreover, we want everyone to contribute with thoughts and ideas, whether it is in their area of expertise or not. And if you want to dig deep in a technical area you will always find someone interested in the team.

We are looking for primarily Stockholm based candidates and we work in a hybrid environment. We organise after works and other team activities both online and offline and want to keep our friendly and informal atmosphere. We like to get to know you in person, but whether you work from home or from the office is up to you!

Starting dates for the successful candidates are to be agreed upon.

Who We Are Looking For

For this position we are looking for an individual who can take on responsibility and show initiative. You should appreciate structure and have a good ability to write scalable code on a structural or architectural level, whilst also being able to work at a micro-level with algorithms.

Our needs for this role span frontend, backend and infrastructure, as such we are looking for candidates experienced in any of these areas. Our primary requirement is that you have a clear ambition to master your chosen area of work, whether this be frontend, backend, infrastructure or something else. We are looking for developers who are willing and able to work towards the teams current goals, so even if you have a specific area of focus, you should be comfortable working on a range of tasks.

At Tendium, the tech teams work with continuous delivery and we aim for fast delivery with quality code, without over-engineering. We value constructive problem solving and are looking for someone who enjoys taking on new tasks and features and appreciates learning about and using new technology and solutions. As such, we are looking for someone who wants to keep learning and improving, honing their skills either by building deep expertise in one area of our stack, working with infrastructure, or building a broad base.

We value working effectively as a team/with colleagues (e.g. pair programming), and that is why we are looking for those qualities in you.

Ideal candidates should have a few years of experience in either frontend, backend or infrastructure development. Note that by experience, we do not necessarily mean employment. We care about what you can do, not how long you’ve been on the payroll.
